Security Services Division

One of the two Divisions within the Pathfinder Group, the Security Services Division (SSD) is among the pioneers in private security industry in Pakistan. SSD includes the two largest private security companies in Pakistan, Security & Management Services (Pvt.) Ltd. (SMS) and Wackenhut Pakistan (Pvt.) Ltd. (WPPL). By developing various services to adapt to ever-changing industry needs and high quality standards with low-cost options, we provide a complete end-to-end security services solution. Our proven track record generates repeat business without the need for a competitive bidding situation.

With several thousand employees, the Group recently initiated the strategic merger of Electronic Safety Services (Pvt.) Ltd. (ESS), and Research and Collection Services (Pvt.) Ltd. (RCS) into SMS. The business of Facility Specialist and Multi Services (Pvt.) Ltd. (FSMS) has been transferred to Wackenhut Pakistan (Pvt.) Ltd.

SSD provides complete specialist manned security solutions in the areas of (1) Security Guards for Static Duty, both armed and unarmed (2) Bodyguards / Close Protection for Heads of Institutions and Visiting Guests (3) Executive Protection Services (4) Event Security and (5) Project Management.

Both SMS and WPPL independently operate Control Rooms (CRs) manned by representatives of all security components in all major cities of Pakistan. Overall, supervision is carried out by ESS. These CRs function 24/7/365 and are equipped with state-of-the art facilities, including telephones, mobile phones, radio sets, LCDs, etc. They have the capability to respond to clients’ call for assistance.

SMS holds ISO Certifications ISO 9001:1994 (First Company in 1999), and ISO 9001:2015. SMS also maintains Quality Assurance & Operations Certifications under ANSI/PSC.1 and ISO 18788:2015. SMS was one of the first private security companies in the emerging world to be ISO/18788 qualified.

Security and Management Services (Pvt.) Ltd. (SMS)

The following three new Divisions were created within SMS:

ESS Division
Guarding Division
RCS Divisiona) The ESS Division provides state-of-the-art Security Alarm Systems, Video Surveillance, and Satellite Vehicle Tracking. It provides total security solutions and services for clients, including governments, diplomatic missions, international agencies, multinationals, and financial, petrochemical, mining, transport, retail, commercial and industrial sectors as well as individuals.b) The Guarding Division has provided security guarding services through successive contracts to the American Embassy in Islamabad and the American Consulates General in Karachi, Peshawar and Lahore since 1987 (for the last 35 years). Additionally, it provides services to residential complexes, retail and trade outlets, banks, embassies / consulates, government, and non-government organizations and a wide range of industries.
c) The RCS Division has a proven track record of successfully conducting challenging security surveys and verification for global organizations, government and semi-government departments, financial institutions, and various private clients. It also offers “HR outsourcing” / manpower services, allowing entities to employ only “core” staff. In addition, its service offerings include security survey & security audits, debt realization (bad debt recovery), and stolen assets recovery.

Wackenhut Pakistan (Pvt.) Ltd. (WPPL)

The following three new entities were created in WPPL i.e. CIT Unit, ATMs / CPC Unit and FSMS Unit.

a) Cash-In-Transit (CIT) Unit

With over 300 clients in Pakistan, WPPL operates 400 fully armored imported CIT vehicles throughout Pakistan to provide a secure and safe way of delivering bulk cash, ensuring a reduction in the time customers spend collecting, delivering, and depositing money. It also services thousands of ATMs throughout the country.

b) Cash Processing Centers (CPC) Unit

CPCs were recently formed and are in operation in Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad and Rawalpindi within our state-of-the-art premises. We are also about to start the CPC operations in Peshawar, Multan, Quetta and Faisalabad. This is the only Security Services Group that provides world-class Cash Management Services through one-window operations.

c) FSMS Unit

FSMS provides facility and management services tailored to clients’ needs, including employee outsourcing, Meet and Greet services, cash processing centers, and training on various disciplines including security through three facilities in Pakistan. FSMS’s focus is on commitment and trained HR service delivery, and relationship teams that serve as a single point of contact with clients and associates.

Financial Services & Technology Division (FSTD)

Pathfinder Group’s Financial Services and Technology Division (FSTD) comprises of two companies, Virtual Remittance Gateway (Pvt.) Ltd. (VRG) and iPath (Pvt.) Ltd. The FSTD commenced its operations in 2013 by establishing VRG, a flagship Fintech company aimed at fostering Financial Inclusion in Pakistan.

VIRTUAL REMITTANCE GATEWAY (PVT.) LTD. (VRG)

Since its inception in 2013, VRG has focused on providing financial inclusion to the financially excluded and under-banked population. It is Pakistan’s First Payment System Operator / Payment Services Provider (PSO / PSP) and Third Party Service Provider (TPSP) licensed company by SBP & PTA. The Electronic Payment Gateway enables interoperability between telcoms and banks, a true Many-to-Many model for the first time in Pakistan under the Asaan Mobile Account (AMA) Scheme.

VRG has also developed turnkey solutions for the Public Sector in G2P (Government-to-Person) Payments aimed towards Social Fund Disbursement programs to support initiatives that build a safety net for the most vulnerable in our community and for families affected by natural calamities. Our platform enables secure, fast, efficient, transparent, and cost-effective end-to-end G2P disbursements, from beneficiary enrollment to cash-out at interoperable agent locations.
